Olango Bird Sanctuary

After checking out Cebu's Daoist Temple (see story here), we decided to go to Olanggo bird sanctuary. We were told that different species of birds can be found here, mostly migratory ones, especially during certain months.
To get to Olanggo, we had to go to Punta Engano port and take a boat to Olanggo island. This would take just 20 mins max. Once there, you will take a tricycle to the bird sanctuary.

This place is as serene as serene could get. It is an ideal place if you want to spend time with yourself and just reflect.

I had also wished my camera didn't break down in Malapascua, so I could have taken better pictures. There were not a lot of birds to see, too. The fowls come some time between November and February, according to the folks at the ranger station.

Travel Notes:

Boat Fare: Php 20 (15 for fare, and 5 for terminal fee)
Tricycle (to the sanctuary): Php 20
Entrance fee: Php 30
